Two more casting updates from the set of Growl, writer-director Sxv’Leithan Essex’s forthcoming film that’s now shooting in the Los Angeles area.
Victor Webster (Melrose Place) and Dawn Olivieri (True Blood, Heroes, pictured) are set to star as the alpha male and female, respectively, of the werewolf pack featured in the film.
The story follows a traveling underground fight club called “The Brawlers” who arrive at a derelict ghost town tucked away in the Colorado Rockies. They meet the town’s only residents, the Maxilla family who want to buy on to the fight card. But the Maxilla family’s true intentions for the Brawler crew are soon revealed in teeth and claws.
Webster will be playing Dallas, leader of the werewolf pack, who gives the Brawlers a run for their money.
‘Battlestar’ creator admits ‘vague’ end Posted On: August 04, 2010
Battlestar Galactica producer Ron Moore has revealed that he left the fate of Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) deliberately vague in the show’s series finale.
The character was seen to disappear into thin air in the final episode, and it was left unclear if she was dead or alive.
Moore told io9: “She is what you want to think of her. It was left deliberately nebulous and vague.”
He admitted that the character’s unusual departure did have some religious overtones.
“If you want to call her an angel, you could say that,” he said. “She went through a resurrection story that was very Christ-like.”
He also explained that he had left the character’s final fate deliberately vague in order to stimulate fan debate and discussion.
“I felt, as I went into the finale, that the more I defined exactly what she was, the less interesting she became,” he revealed. “And so I just made a choice to go out on a more ambiguous note, and to let people argue about it perpetually.”

Katee Sackhoff & Annihilus Invade ‘Super Hero Squad’ Posted On: July 04, 2010
From Comics Alliance:
Another draw? The casting.”Super Hero Squad” features some incredibly talented actors like Tom Kenny as Iron Man and Captain America, and Grey DeLisle as Ms. Marvel. But there are great guest actors involved as well, such as the most recently announced Katee Sackhoff. The “Battlestar Galactica” and “24″ actress will play She-Hulk in an upcoming episode of the show’s second season. The erstwhile Starbuck joins the show’s growing list of sci-fi heavy hitters, with the biggest and baddest of them being George Takei as Galactus. There’s also the matter of fellow BSG alumn Tricia Helfer voicing Asgardian warrior Sif, although it’s unclear if the two will ever co-star on the SHSS.
If Sackhoff’s involvement isn’t enough to get you psyched for season two, how about this – an upcoming episode is titled “Double Negation at the World’s End,” and it features Annihilus. Didn’t you hear me?! Annihilus!!!
